Actually the traditional use of the “Buttered Cat Paradox” is giant arrays of rotating cat/toast assemblies powering electrical generators. Presumably the dairy states support this, though the corn (ethanol) states probably don’t. (The new look of the blog is great, though I miss your rainbow-bar)
